1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using ChessTenders (the "Service"), available at chesstenders.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
ChessTenders is a chess training platform offering puzzles, game analysis, opening practice, and play against computer or online opponents. Some features require an account; others are available anonymously. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You must be old enough to use the Service under the laws of your country.
4. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service: no attempts to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access; no automated scraping beyond what we permit; no uploading of unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; and no use that violates the rights of others.
5. Third-party data and services
The Service can connect to third-party platforms such as Lichess and Chess.com to import your games, and relies on providers including Supabase and Vercel. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms. Chess puzzle data may originate from openly licensed sources.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, and original content, belongs to ChessTenders and its licensors. Content you create (such as puzzles or collections) remains yours, but you grant us the license needed to host and display it within the Service.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChessTenders is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
